The prey is scarce, but slowly coming back. What is left is to feed the alphas and youngin's. It seems as if all the wolfy love has faded away. Everyone is becoming more vile, yet mellow at the same time. Yes, it is confusing. At least for one dog, that's how it felt. She had no friends to comfort or support her. Being the tough femme she is, she resorted to feeding and taking care of herself, since no one would. Even though she wished others would do things for her, such as her sister, Oakwhisper, would get her food and showher shady areas, almost as if she was her maid.
Cottonseed scowered along the windy and dry path in ThunderPack, looking for any scraps of food she could find. While the wolves in higher positions ate the good food, she had to settle on scraps, and she couldn't take it any longer. Plus, her pack and RiverPack were always at it, which made her confused and angry, mostly because she couldn't fight. Cottonseed was built for hunting, but not fighting. At this time in history, fighting was important so you could hunt. Her long and skinny body is very swift and light, perfect for chasing after deer. But Cottonseed couldn't fight to save her life. "Everyone is so stupid, they forget what it means to be a canine. Always hogging all the food, and always fighting. We barely even have anytime or anywhere to hunt," she muttered darkly to herself.
Her long legs carried her along the dusty path, hopefully carrying her to some friends, or maybe even a crush. Who knows. Maybe even lead her to a better place, or an answer. Everything is slowly becoming haywire, yet she manages to keep everything in place. "If only I had one friend. One friend that could help me," Cottonseed muttered aloud, stopping and hanging her head low. The heat was horrible, and there was not shade or leaves to make it a tiny degree cooler. The she-wolf heard a noise behind her, but smelt the air and figured it was a ThunderPack wolf.

A huge wolf hung in the shadows of the drying up oaks. He watched the beautiful white she-wolf with the intentness as if she was a does that was being hunted. The male watched and listened. "If only I had one friend. One friend that could help me," He thought, so, she wants a friend? I will give her one.
He purposefully brushed his thick, cream and red fur with a fond of brown ferns. The wolf thought quickly then came out of the shadows and "fell" to the ground, panting hard.

Cottonseed stepped back and gasped in surprise as a wolf plopped on the ground in front of her. Is this some kinda joke? Did a wolf just drop from the sky? she mused, looking curiously at the wolf. A few quick sniffs determinded some things, like he was a male, and wasn't ThunderPack. Nonetheless, he was very hadnsome and Cottonseed couldn't help but almost drool at his looks. Shaking off the thought, she went over to scout and see if he was okay. "Oh my gosh! Are you okay?" she barked worriedly, and she nudged his body. Her white fur stood out against his creamy-red fur.

Zon shook his head weakly, his eyes drooping. The male wolf, with his gift that he inherited with his mother, he read the she-wolf's mind. She is falling for it! He thought and then he began to panted harder. "B-bear." He gasped. Zon luckily scented a fresh bear on the territory, so that is his reason.

Fear and alert flashed in the she-wolf's eyes. Bears were terrifying to everybody, especially the weakening ThunderPack wolves. Cottonseed couldn't help the fear that spread through her body, but she had to get this poor wolf to a safer place. "Oh crap. I hate bears. We gotta get you to a safer place, sir," she mumbled rushed yet polite. She carefully grabbed his scruff and dragged him a little ways until they came to the weak stream in the heart of their dried up territory. Once she saw that the mystery wolf was some-what settled, she sat down and wanted to question him. Yet, he looked familiar to her. Almost like a nightmare, a dream, or deja vu, she had seen him before. "So where did you see the bear?" she asked him softly, letting her pink tongue loll out the side of her mouth. "I'm Cottonseed by the way," she introduced.

The large male nodded, looking away for a bit. "Cottonseed is a beautiful name." He woofed, ignoring her question for a bit. Zon freaked out for a second, then composed himself again, thinking of his name. "My name is Red." He woofed, inducing his fake name. Then the male wolf nodded, looking down at his paws. "The bear was north. The stupid brute actually attacked, but he only left one cut on me." He woofed, showing a large gash on his shoulder. The wound wasn't bleeding, it had barely even started to but still, it was something to prove to this she-wolf that he was attacked. "I ran as fast as I could, until I met you. I think he stopped and found another thing to prey upon."

Cottonseed became a little warmer as he called her name beautiful. He was the one who should be talking. He was superly gorgeous, and sweet. Yet, familiar in more ways the one. She still fancied him, however. Terror grew inside the young warrior's eyes as he talked about his experience with the bear. He actually survived a bear attack, even though it would have most likely killed him. Nonetheless, Red was safe and the bear was gone. "I'm glad your alright, Red. Here, let me get something for that cut," she murmured as she walked a few pawsteps and found some cobwebs. I'm not a medicine wolf, but I know how to stop infection a little. He's pretty charming, but his scent is familiar and unfamiliar to me, she thought looking at his quickly over her shoulder. Cottonseed returned and gently patted the web in his wound.

The male winced a little but only faking it. He looked up, his dark amber eyes glowing at Cottenseed. "I must confess that you a quite good with those cobwebs, are you a healer?" He asked, fake surprise flickering in his eyes. Zon already knew that she wasn't. Cottenseed's pelt didn't hold the herbs of a medicine wolf and her muscles rippled with every stride, unlike a medicine wolf. Zon looked at the she-wolf with a very soft expression, like his eyes just melted.
