Days are all the same, they are all full of this, this lifeless drone. Jasmine could feel her body aching, her muscles weakening.
The day wasn't going to well for her. She took a few aimless steps. She could tell she had a slight limp. Why exactly? All I can say from being up and moving all night. Haven't you ever just started limping? You know those times when your knee just hurts and there are no reasons behind it.
She made her way slowly to the bottom Bearun Mountains. This was an old place of her past. This was where she stayed when she was first on her own. It was a good place with all the little creatures to eat. It was open too, so anything came after her she could see it coming. She took a deep breath and sighed.
She laid down in the grass below the mountains, almost hidden now. It was hard for her to be hidden, do to the fact she was spotted. The grass was almost tall enough to cover her. She looked around her. She closed her good eye, everything went black. She shook her head frustrated. She opened her other eye. She sat up in her disappointment. Yes, she was up in the hopes for her eye to work. It never would though, since she has been blind since birth.
She looked at the scene around her. Her stomach growled at her in hunger. She looked down at it. She was getting too skinny, her ribs were beginning to show. She closed her eyes and literally felt the floor beneath her. She could hear a small rabbit. She opened her eyes. It was a few feet away. She jumped and landed onto it, crushing it in her landing. She looked at her small feast. She quickly ate it, pleasing her stomach for the moment.
She laid back down in the tall grass. She rolled over onto her back and starred at the sky. She felt as if she was young again. When she spent those long nights starring at the stars. It was refreshing to know how much she has grown.

Things haven't been going the way she planned it. The weather started to heat up, there wasn't hardly any rain or food, but what she did plan, was that the packs are slowly falling apart. The thought of her rein once again made this one she-wolf smile. It has been one year too long since she was feared and everyone bowed down to her and to her brothers, and to her liar of a mother and father. The lanky she-wolf padded around the scorching rocks at the foot of the Bearun Mountains, her pads burnt and rough.
Scarfang tried to walk on the grass, or what was left of it. The sun beat down on her familiar dark gray scarred pelt, trying to bleach it a lighter gray. This isn't exactly what I was planning on happening, she mused, looking around. Scarfang wasn't Scarfang, a loyal RiverPack warrior, it was all a lie, a mask, a different life that she hated. Most might know her by her real name, Layla. The all dangerous and infamous daughter of Keeva and Diogenes. That her true, and prideful life, the one that Layla enjoyed the most.
Outside of the RiverPack camp, she refused to be called Scarfang, and went by Layla. Layla smelt the rotting remains of starved rabbits, badgers, and a wolverine. If there wasn't a more rancid smell than death, but one of Layla's nature couldn't help but love it. Yet, another smell lingered in the air. Ah, it was a she-dog, and it must be a loner. Layla let her tail sway in the wind as well as her ears, which listened for anything threatening, such as her brothers. I might as well pop over and say my greetings, she mused and continued her journey, following the she-dog's scent.
The sun was still brutal, but Layla coped with it until she came across the orgin of the smell. A very beautiful she-dog with a spotted coat was gazing at the sky, or trying to burn her underbelly, Layla couldn't decided. Her legs and overall stature seemed strong, although her ribs showed, but whose didn't? Perhaps if I befriend her, this girl could help me wipe the packs out for good, Layla thought insanely as she licked her chops and set all her features into a casual and relaxed mode.
"Hello there, you seemed to be lost. Are you, or is it just me," she greeting warmly, maybe a little too warmly. The minacal she-wolf smiled wickedly as she awaited the reply from the other she-dog. Her dark gray fur ruffled in the wind and her dark blue eyes flashed with mischief and evil thinking.

She moved quickly as she heard approaching footsteps. Jasmine rolled to her stomach and stood, facing the wolf in front of her. She inhaled it's scent. It belonged to one of the packs. Jasmine herself didn't care much about the packs, actually she didn't care at all. She looked at the wolf before her. Female and has a terrific build.
Jasmine might have been able to win against this warrior, but she wasn't willing to fight. She didn't want to spend time recovering like the many times before. She nodded her head in a slight gesture of respect towards the warrior.
"Hello there, you seemed to be lost. Are you, or is it just me," the wolf spoke. Jasmine noticed she was relaxed, while on the other hand Jasmine was not. She had her runs with wolves that pretend everything is fine, and that is when they attack the hardest. She kept herself slightly tensed, just in case worst comes to worst.
Lost? Jasmine thought. Lost isn't exactly a word in her vocabulary. Now she had a large vocabulary, but she knew what lost meant, just it seemed to have no true meaning behind it. She sighed. "I do not know if you would call me lost, since I have no place I reside," she replied.
Are you ever lost if you have no destination? If you have no place to call home? If you just follow the ways of the wind and where your eyes lead you? I would say no. It is more like you are on a journey to find out more about yourself and your surroundings, not that you are lost.
Jasmine once again closed her good eye. It was such a terrible habit. She sighed once more when only darkness resulted. She never understood how she could be blind. Nothing else was wrong, it was just one eye blind forever. She opened her good eye and looked the the warrior. She smiled, but it wasn't a true smile. I don't think she even knew how to truly smile. It is even hard for me these days.
She took deep steady breaths, she wasn't feeling the best that night. Running low on sleep and all. She looked once more at the stars. What do the mean to the wolf in front of me, She thought. Surely they must mean something, she added to her thoughts. What Jasmine loved about the stars is that it doesn't matter where you are, you are always under the same night sky and the same stars. They are like a home away from home, and Jasmine's only true companion, but maybe that would change one day.

"Ah, I see," she replied, sitting down casually. Layla tilted her head as she watched the young spotted dog close one eye, but not the other. Oh, the curse it was to be blind, but luckily it was only in one eye and not both. For a moment, she almost felt sorry for the young fea, but the feeling slowly faded. Layla's eyes scanned the rocky area, the sky, and the moon. It was amazing to see how everything lived and worked hand-in-hand. One more thing for Layla to take control of, or destroy it and make it her own.
"Ah, I guess we are one in the same. I'm Scarfang, supposedly from RiverPack, but I don't consider them my home pack. You see, they beat me mercilessly and swore that they would kill me first. What I would give to have a friend and to roam free like you do," she lied smoothly, showing her fake, yet convincing, sadness across her face. Layla looked at the ground for a moment, trying to think of what to say next. "Enough about me, I'd like to know a little more about you," she mumbled honestly.

"Ah, I guess we are one in the same. I'm Scarfang, supposedly from RiverPack, but I don't consider them my home pack. You see, they beat me mercilessly and swore that they would kill me first. What I would give to have a friend and to roam free like you do. Enough about me, I'd like to know a little more about you," The wolf spoke. Jasmine was not ready to trust this one.
Trust is quite the factor. It helps us know who cares for us, and who we care for. It is the door to love. Love is something that is irreplaceable and can never be lost, while trust can. Even if you believe you don’t love someone anymore, you still do, it is just hidden. While trust can easily be lost. It is lost by the smallest mistake and is very hard to regain, and it will never be the same.
Jasmine looked at the scenery around her. She could feel the silence growing. She smiled at the wolf. She never understood mother nature. How could she create such beautiful things? Jasmine was even in awe by the wolves she was surrounded with. Each of them was unique and beautiful. And even their minds were unique. Jasmine had never been in another’s mind, but she knew it was different then hers. Same with their emotions and feelings. Everything about everyone was unique and wonderful. Life itself is wonderful.
Do you ever think, what would be the world if there was no life? It would be like on of the other 7 planets, not including Pluto. No life what so ever, no oxygen either. Only the traces of past life remains, is that the future for earth? I sure hope not. Earth is a wonderful place, although some of the people on it aren’t so wonderful. I only wish that people were respectful to others and the world they live on. But then again, who am I to judge? I am no one. My judgment does not matter, since I do not have influence to many others on this planet I call home.
Anyways, sorry for my rant, back to Jasmine. She put her attention back to the wolf in front of her. "I am a loner, my name you do not need to know," Jasmine replied. She revealed little of herself, due to the fact she did not trust this "Scarfang".
