Malvina padded warily into the barn. She wasn't feeling too good, and the pups were kicking like crazy. Yet, the image of her being a mother made her smile. And it brought up the bittersweet memories of her playing with Applepup and Smokepup and Ashfang and Moonfeather in ShadowPack. Malvina still feels horrible for deserting her own pack, but she has a life, a family now. The alphess just smiled at her tummy and giggled.
They should be coming soon. I hope Dio gets here soon, she thought. She carefully sat down into her nest, and relaxed. It didn't last long, it was interrupted by a sharp tear inside her. Violent contractions shook her whole body, and she was convulsing wildly. Tears and rips erupted from inside her mid section. "HELP!" she howled in pain. Malvina went onto her side, her breathing laboured and coming in quick gasps. "DIO!"

Dio arrived just as Malvina shouted his name. He had heard her screaming for help as he was coming home, and thought the worst. At the sight, Dio allowed himself a mental sigh of relief. It wasn't what he had thought, but Malvina was still in pain and he was still concerned. He rushed to his mate's side, blue and silver eyes wide with a nervous anxiety. "They're coming," he murmured, taking a good guess. "Hold on love, I'm here. I want you to listen to me, alright? Take steady, deep breaths, and push."
Pendergast stirred from his slumber, screams and cries of pain echoing in his ears. He blinked open his silver eyes, a tense feeling of dread forming in the pit of his stomach. When he could see clearly, no scene of horror was to behold, but Dio was at Malvina's side. Their children must be coming. Quietly, as not to disturb Versailles as she slept beside him, Pendergast rose to his paws and padded over to his alphas, to help assist in any way.

Malvina seemed to calm down as Dio arrived. The pain was subdued for a moment, but long enough for her to smile at him. The kicking and ripping grew louder and harder. It took everything Malvina had to get her to stop screaming. She didn't want to wake up the others sleeping, but it seemed to fail as Pendergast came over. The white she wolf nodded as did as she was told. Oh, the pain. Kill me now! Kill me now! she pleaded in her head, but happy it didn't come out her mouth. Time seemed to speed up as the pain increased.
Malvina constantly licked her three beautiful pups. Each squealing and pushing at her belly with soft and tiny pushes. She couldn't help but smile as they squirmed and whined. Two girls and one boy. The opposite of Keeva's litter, resulting in Zon, Layla, and Dio. She looked up at her mate, and she knew that he must've been thinking the same thing. One reassuring thing was that the male looked just like Dio, solid black. Huh, that must've been a strong gene, considering Diogenes was the same, she mused. The proud mother smiled and licked her son. Right as she did, a faint light blue aura surrounded his figure. "He has a special power, Dio!" she exclaimed softly smiling. That smile soon faded as she noticed the others didn't.
Even though she licked her daughters the same, the dark tan one, and the black and white splotched one, no aura surrounded them. My mortality ruined it! The royal line is dying out! she frantically thought and almost started to cry. Malvina couldn't let that ruin the moment, and shook it off. She nuzzled them, a soft rumble coming from her throat. "Dio, come over here and meet out children."

Dio's heart leaped in joy. He wondered what kind of gift his son had. When he didn't hear about his daughters, he frowned in his mind. Nonetheless, Dio peeked over Malvina's shoulder and gazed fondly upon his three children. "Oh, look at them Malvina. They are so beautiful," he said, fawning. Pendergast smiled. "A most wonderful litter. Two she-wolves, and one male. Have you any names in mind for them?" he asked.
Dio looked at Malvina. "Yes, I believe names would come in handy."

"Hmm....." Malvina trailed as she tried to think of names. She wanted to name the girls, and for Dio to name his son. It was a pride thing she had always thought. Fathers wanted their sons to be like them, as did the mothers want their daughters to be like them. It was blantly obvious because of Keeva and Diogenes. Heck, at least I'm honest about who the father of my pups are, she thought, almost snickering. Boy, she wished Keeva could've been here so she could say it out loud. Anyway, back to names..
The white alphess did remember a few names float around. She remembered Integra and Charly, the brave loner twins who were war heroines during the dark ages long ago. Something was different about them, but they were strong nonetheless. "Ah, I found just the names. My heir," she trailed as she licked the first born, the tan one," you will be Integra, after the strong wolf legend. Bravery, sacrifice, wisedom, and strength be in your favor." Malvina smiled and licked the second born pup. "My princess. You will be Charly in honor of the wise wolf legend. Respect, willpower, determination, and honor be in your favor," she announced, licking her black and white daughter.
Malvina looked up at Dio, tears of happiness in her eyes. "Now, you get to name your son," she told her mate, licking the black pup. Although he was the last born, he was still pretty big, but not as big as Teggie. He would not be the heir for leadership, unless something were to happen.

Dio repeated his daughter's names as Malvina announced them. "Integra, Charly, my lovely daughters. And you," he said, looking down at his son, who had an unmistakable resemblence to him. He thought really hard about a good name, until one came across that Dio really liked. "You are Aro, my son. Loyalty, dedication, diligence, and reliability are with you." Dio began to tear up, his heart swelling with joy and pride.
Suddenly, Pendergast scented something, and bristled. An ominous presence was near, he could feel it. Before anything could be done, however, the door creaked open, and the dark, towering silhouette of a large wolf could be seen, violet orbs flickering. "Such strong, beautiful names," the all-too-familiar voice purred.

Malvina fawned over Aro, her eyes welling up with warm tears. "Sweet Aro," she crooned and nuzzled him. She licked Dio's muzzle before her heart almost stopped. That all-to familiar voice echoed around the house, making it sound ten times worse. "Speak of the devil. What are you doing here?" Malvina snarled, baring her teeth and wrapping her tail and legs around her pups. The white wolf was ready to spring at any moment to defend her family, but she didn't want to end up like Morgra and Toekshima did. Her pups parentless, the though made her shutter.

Dio rose and stood in front of Malvina, bristling and snarling. His eyes narrowed as he beheld his nemesis. Pendergast tensed at Malvina's side, ready to defend the newborns and their mother. Matrix chuckled at their aggression. "I knew you were pregnant, dear alphess. My curiosity got the better of me, and I've been watching and waiting for the day your children were born into this world. I only wish to see them, these wonderful heirs of your's."
Dio retained his position. There's no way I'm letting you near them, his eyes said.

Malvina snarled and growled. Now, the fact that she was almost PMSy didn't exactly help the mood. Couldn't she just spend one single fricken moment with her children? This home wrecker was banished from here and should be staying away, much less want to see the heirs. Who knew that he wouldn't kill them, and then the mother and Dio? Malvina just wouldn't allow it. She opened her mouth to speak, but something came out and it wasn't her voice. It was what she was going to say, but she smelled the scent and knew who it was. Tears streamed down her face in guilt.
"You can burn in hell!" a high pitch voice screeched from behind Matrix. It was none other than ShadowPack's finest; Venomfang, Whitestar, and Moonfeather. Moonfeather was at the spear point of the small group, her maw lifted up in a fericious snarl. "Matrix, don't even try. Just let Malvina bond with her pups. What business do you have here, anyway?" she demanded. In the background, she could hear Malvina sigh a small sigh of relief. Then again, Moonfeather had the right to answer the same question. They were basically trespassing onto Renegade territory, but this was an important purpose. I explain if they wish to know..

Matrix whirled around to face the newcomers. "Ah, if it isn't the Renegades' Shadowpack posse. I should have known," he said with quiet contempt. Whitestar's golden eyes narrowed, and she came to stand next to Moonfeather. "I believe my deputy asked you a question. Answer her!" she spat, her own contempt barely hidden. Matrix sighed. He didn't have the authority to argue with her.
"Its as I told Malvina and Dio. I wished to see the lovely little pups and congradulate the new parents. What could possibly be dangerous about that?" Dio snorted. He was forever grateful for Shadowpack's, particularly Whitestar's, Moonfeather's, and Venomfang's presence. Their purpose for trespassing was indeed important and urgent, and could be excused.

Moonfeather's patience was wearing thin, and that just might be what Matrix wants. He wasn't stupid but he was a ticking time bomb. One little thing could set him off, but he wouldn't attack unless that happened. He was outnumbered, but he wouldn't leave unless he got what he wanted. Whipping around, Moonfeather sent Whitestar a look that told her to calm down, as well as Venomfang. "Of course, Matrix. What could be more harmless than that? Why, the three of us were just stopping by to express our congratulations as well," she said calmly, and half of it was true. Moonfeather shot Malvina a look to go along with it.
"Oh, how silly of me, Matrix. Of course you can see them. You can look, but you can't touch them," Malvina said smally, making her muscles relax. She reached out and lightly touched Dio with her muzzle. "It's okay Dio, Matrix just wants to see them, and he'll be on his way, right?" she muttered, looking at the two black wolves. She was scared, but wouldn't show it. Aro twitched and whined at Malvina's side, luckily his aura stayed hidden and blended in with the rest of his sisters.

"That's right," Matrix reassured calmly. "Just a peek, and then I'll leave quietly." Dio stared at his paws, contemplating. He finally looked Matrix in the eyes. "Very well. You may see them," Dio muttered. He was also scared, his heart racing in fear as the other black wolf padded towards Malvina. Whitestar watched silently, a frown plastered on her face. But the fact that he was outnumbered was a small reassurance if he tried anything.
Matrix lowered his head slightly, keeping a respectful distance from the three pups. "Ah, but do my eyes behold two beautiful *fräuleins and a handsome young male, who looks like his father," he murmured, his gaze falling on Integra, Charly, and Aro. The tan one somewhat resembled Malvina as well, but her fur was darker.

Moonfeather watched uneasily as Matrix approached the alphess and her pups. She tensed at every kind word he said about the three pups. The deputy hasn't really seen them or what they looked like. So two daughters and a male, eh? A male that looks like Dio? she thought and peeped over Matrix's massive shoulder. Sure enough, the young brute was just like Dio and Diogenes. Sturdy build, jet black fur, but what about the eyes? Would they be silver and light blue like Dio's, icy blue like Malvina's, green like Keeva's, or red like Diogenes'? However, Moonfeather felt a calming atmosphere around the little heir. The deputy leaned reassuringly into Whitestar, trying to calm her and herself down.
Malvina began to tense up around her pups, her tail curling around Aro when Matrix crooned about him, and around Teggie, but halfway around Charly. "Yes, yes they are. The male is Aro, the tan fea is Integra, and the spotted fea is Charly," she introduced, her voice shaking. The white she-wolf looked into the brute's gaze and gasped inwardly. He was eying Charly with such possession it hurt. It was like he wanted her. Malvina bared her teeth, a warning to him.

Matrix broke his gaze from Charly, taking with caution Malvina's warning. He lowered his head towards the alphess. "Which one is the first-born?" he whispered. Dio narrowed his eyes; he had to strain to hear what Matrix was saying. Pendergast watched, feeling the tense atmosphere in the air.

Not breaking her gaze from Matrix, or her snarl, Malvina let another growl rise up in her throat. "Charly," she lied, glancing breifly at her lovely speckled daughter. Aro squirmed beside his sisters, but didn't make a peep. Malvina sighed a small sigh of relief and glared at the wolf looming over her. If he couldn't stop time, she would've lunged at him right now. The white alphess cringed as she heard another annoyed growl behind Matrix. This one, however, was gruffier and lower. "What damn business is it to you?" Venomfang barked gruffly. His eyes burned into the brute's fur, and he hoped he would catch ablaze and die.
