♣ more like me, and not like you ♣
character personality
Personality ∙Before she became leader, or even deputy for that matter, Whitestar was somewhat shy around others. Despite this, she is otherwise very sweet and caring deep down inside. Not all Shadowpack wolves are heartless. Over the years of leading her pack through the challenges and dangers she's had to face, Whitestar grew a tough, unbreakable spirit. Her faith in Starpack and in her pack is what keeps her strong through the bad times. No one could deny Shadowpack a better leader.
Whitestar is also very fair in her judgement, and normally displays a calm and collected stance, but beneath this facade a pool of worry and troubles clouds her thoughts. If there's something disturbing on her mind, Whitestar will normally speak with her close friends, Moonfeather and Echohowl, her deputy and medicine wolf. When the time calls for it, Whitestar can be very aggressive, especially if her pack is being threatened. She is like a mother hen, protective and watchful. However, Whitestar's fury is a side almost always never seen. She prefers to handle situations peacefully as opposed to starting conflicts, which makes the other packs skeptical and doubtful about her leadership.
Likes ∙ -Gatherings -the warrior code -the different phases of the moon -peace -equality among the Packs
Dislikes ∙ -conflict, but can deal with it -betrayal/disloyalty -failure
Hopes and Dreams ∙ -continue leading Shadowpack to the best of her ability -restore her pack's reputation and keep it from falling apart -to continue being a good mother to her son -to one day pass on her experience and leadership into the trusted paws of her deputy, Moonfeather -to establish a treaty that will end the conflict with the Renegades
Fears ∙ -watching the trust all the Packs share with each other shatter -being powerless to help others when they need it -seeing her pack fall into chaos -continuous war and struggles with the Renegades -killing in cold blood -failure
♣ the pretty, the handsome, and the ugly ♣
character appearance
Overall Looks ∙Whitestar, as her name implies, has fur the color of freshly laid snow. Its soft and silky to the touch, and has a glossy tint in the sunlight--she grooms often. The length of the fur is medium; not too long and not too short. The perfect length for a wolf living in boggy pine forests. Whitestar's tail is fluffy, with a little 'poof' to it. Her frame is feminine, with smooth muscles rippling beneath her skin, which suggests power hidden by a beautiful exterior.
The most stunning feature, however, is Whitestar's eyes. They are a pure, rich golden color, reminescent of topaz. For eyes that have seen death and tragedy, they still retain their impermeable sheen. Another oddity is Whitestar's muzzle. While her nose is the standard coal-black, the fur on her chin and above her nose is tinged with silver. This suggests that she is beginning to age.

history and family
Family ∙ -Mother: Fernfall [d] -Father: Rowanleaf [d] -Brother: Shadowstripe [d] -Mate: Bearclaw [d] -Pup: Littleflame
Place of Birth ∙Whitestar was born in the Shadowpack nursery.
Background ∙Whitestar began life like every warrior before and after her will. She was born to Fernfall and Rowanleaf, alongside her brother, Shadowstripe, who was born shortly after she was. Sadly, Fernfall died soon after her pups were born, due to complications and bloodloss. This left Rowanleaf to find a suitable foster queen for his pups. He went through the majority of Whitestar and Shadowstripe's upbringing in grief for his deseased mate.
When she and her brother became apprentices, their bond grew until they were very close. The two did everything together: hunting, practicing fighting techniques, going on patrols with their mentors. It wasn't until Whitepaw became ill that another apprentice aquainted himself with her. That apprentice was Bearpaw. He felt bad that Whitepaw couldn't play with him and the other apprentices, so he, accompanied with Shadowpaw, visited Whitepaw in the medicine wolf's den until she recovered.
It wasn't too long before the three received their warrior names. Whitepaw became Whiterain, Shadowpaw became Shadowstripe, and Bearpaw became Bearclaw. The leader at that time was Whitestar, formerly known as Whitefur. After spending a lot of time together, Whiterain and Bearclaw fell in love, thus beginning a beautiful relationship. It wasn't long before their son, Littlepup, was born. The peace and tranquility didn't last, however.
Trouble was stirring in the forest under the rogue group called the Bloodbringers. Tragically, a long battle was fought between Bloodspill, the Bloodbringer's violent leader, and the Packs. Many wolves died, including Whitestar and Shadowstripe. The new leader, Yellowstar, rose to power in Shadowpack and named Whiterain his deputy. In those tulmutous times, another group was formed: Sun's Death, lead by Recif.
It didn't stop there. After many moons of endless fighting, Sun's Death was destroyed, and the Bloodbringers dissolved. Yellowstar was killed during a fight with Sun's Death, and that began Whiterain's leadership of Shadowpack. She named Moonfeather her deputy, and the two travelled to the Moonstone, so Whiterain could receive her nine lives. It was the start of a growing friendship between the two she-wolves.
Shortly after, yet another group formed from the ashes of evil. They were called the Renegades, and they quickly became a problem for Shadowpack. Many border disputes were fought. Some of Whitestar's best warriors were murdered. The Renegades were now Shadowpack's sole rival, taking the place of Thunderpack, Shadowpack's oldest rival since the ancient times.
But that was the least of Whitestar's problems. Sympathetic towards former Bloodbringer wolves gone legit, she accepted them into her pack. Among them was Orchidfrost, a young she-wolf with a dark secret. When she found out about this wolf's secret, it made Whitestar cautious and secretive about the dark entity among her warriors. However, she truly believes that Orchidfrost deserves to be seen as loyal warrior, and not a puppet, as she is a reincarnation of Bloodspill herself.
