Grass crunched softly under the paws of a young fea whose head was crammed with wishes and thoughts. Everything seemed bright and sunny, for she got everything she wanted. She had a handsome and loving mate, a strong pack, extraordinary healing abilities, and wonderful friends. She did lack parents though, but not everyone was Cinderella. Breezesong was more like the secret good step-sister of Cinderella. She got almost everything she wanted and did as she pleased, but didn't brag about it. She did feel like she was missing one thing, a family. The warrior wanted her own litter of pups, she wanted to be proud of them and teach them basic life skills.
The tawny warrior padded along until she came into the heather patch, one of her favorite places to be. Although it was drying up and the scent was fading, it still smelt good to her. It was a cleanser, it cleaned all the morbid and tainted thoughts from her conscious and replaced them with positive thoughts. They were mostly about Tainteddream, but she didn't care. Breezesong thought of him all the time. Usually he would accompany her, but he was tuckered out and so she decided to let him sleep tonight. The stars twinkled above overhead, and a shooting star flew across the sky. I wish Tainteddream was here so we could talk about some things, she wished silently. Breezesong didn't hear the footsteps behind her.

Tainteddream woke up from his dreamless sleep. He couldn't sleep without Breezesong beside him, and stirred, stretching as he rose from his nest. He made his way past the other sleeping warriors and out of the den, searching for his mate. But he couldn't see her anywhere in camp, and surmised that she went for a little stroll. Following her scent, Tainteddream quietly departed.
He found her all alone not far from camp. "Breezesong," Tainteddream said softly, as not to startle her.

Breezesong turned around, seeing Tainteddream. Heck, those things do work, she thought and smiled. "Is everything alright? You should be sleeping since the double patrols Ravenstar has you on.." she rambled as she walked up to the coal-black warrior. His pelt almost melted in with the shadows, but his golden eyes gave him away. She gently nuzzled his neck, hoping to relax them a bit. His fur was always so warm to her, but just his presence made her warm and dizzy in a good way. Her sapphire eyes met his golden ones with concern. Breezesong could see the sleep in his eyes and scolded herself. Perhaps going on a walk was a bad idea, that or he just couldn't sleep.
